Motorcyclist Killed In I-90 Construction Zone Near Ranchester

A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a deer on I-90 near Ranchester and then was run over by another vehicle not long afterwards.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol fatality crash summary, at around 9:40pm on Saturday, August 2nd, 39-year old Jorden McCullough of Alberta, Canada, was riding his motorcycle on I-90 East, between mile posts 7 and 8.

That section of the interstate is in a construction zone, where westbound traffic is using one lane of the eastbound side of the freeway for travel.

McCullough collided his motorcycle with a deer, and the impact forced him off his motorcycle.

His body came to a rest around the center line, but he was partially in the eastbound line of travel.

The motorcycle ended up in a ditch.

Sometime afterwards, the driver of a vehicle who was also eastbound on I-90, hit McCullough with the vehicle and ended up dragging him a short distance.

The driver told Troopers that he did not see McCullough because it was dark.

McCullough died from the injuries he sustained in the incidents.

The driver of the other vehicle, as well as 2 passengers riding along, were not injured.
