Big Horn Volunteer Firefighter Recovering After Fall During Structure Fire

A Big Horn Volunteer Firefighter is recovering after falling through a floor while battling a structure fire.

According to a media release, shortly after 6:30am this past Sunday (May 25th), Sheridan Fire-Rescue as well as several other emergency units, were called to the scene on Brinton Road in the town of Big Horn.

When Sheridan crews arrived, they were informed that the firefighter had fallen through the fire floor and into the basement.

A mayday was issued and other firefighters were able to get a ladder in, get down to where the other one had fallen and got that person out.

The firefighter was transported to Sheridan Memorial Hospital and at last report, was doing well.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
