Sheridan College is almost finished remodeling a building that will soon be used for its advanced manufacturing and advanced sciences division.

Back in 2019, the Seven Pillars Foundation gifted the college a 25-thousand square foot building, located on the southeast corner of Heartland Drive and Solutions Way, which is on the other side of I-90 from the college campus.

In 2022, the college announced plans to remodel the building so that it would enhance career and technical educational programming at the college and allow entrepreneurs to go to the building and work with the college on some ideas.

At Tuesday’s meeting (July 16th), the College’s Board of Trustees officially named the building the Sheridan College Innovation Center.

College President Doctor Walter Tribley gives more details on which college programs will be housed in the building.

“This building will house the construction trades programs and it will house the advanced manufacturing programs and very importantly the Sheridan College manufacturing incubator and this is an economic development tool for our community and for the state of Wyoming.”

Classes for the fall semester start on August 26th, and Dr. Tribley says the building should be ready to go by that time.
