cvannoyOn Monday, February 5th, A/C’s Clear Creek Revival members Will Betz, Dellana Michelena, Kamy Michelena, and Natalie Stoll attended the Kinser Jazz Festival at Casper College.
According to the Arvada-Clearmont music teacher Gerry Chase, the group performed at 8 a.m. in the theater with Dan Goble and Eric Hageman providing feedback on our performances and working with us on strategies and techniques to make the music even more enjoyable.
There were eight categories where the judges gave ratings. They received the top rating in four categories – Groove and Feel, Balance and Blend, Intonation, and Preparation.
“We received the second highest rating in the remaining four categories – Jazz Concepts, Musicality, Solo Playing, and Rhythm Section. This was a great event for these students to participate in and observe other Wyoming high school students performing music at the highest levels.” Chase said. “I am so very proud of these young people and their ability to listen to each other and perform music together.”
