“The Sheridan Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) wants to thank school personnel in our community for their commitment to providing a quality education for our youth. AAUW recognizes the hard work and dedication that teachers, staff, and support people all put forth to make our schools safe, comfortable places of learning.” Rita Geary, of AAUW, said in a news release about the School Appreciation Project.
To help say thank you, the AAUW group decided to honor one school this year, and Henry A. Coffeen was randomly chosen. The AAUW members put together small gift bags of practical items, chocolates, and a hand-written thank you card for each adult at the school.
AAUW encourages other groups and individuals to express appreciation to the people around them who are making a positive difference.”
The Sheridan Branch of AAUW has an almost 110-year-old history in Sheridan!
