SCSD#1 Board Recognizes Championship Volleyball Team

In their monthly meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 14, the SCSD#1, Board of Trustees recognized the Big Horn High School State Championship Volleyball Team.

Coach Al Sparkman talked about his goals for the Big Horn High School team.

He added that how they define success at Big Horn High School is that they want to be the ‘last team standing’ and we accept the outcome with no excuses.

He said they strive to be number one

There was also a Big Horn Elementary school video presentation by Principal Kathy Powers and her staff.

The 2023 student representatives, Issac Adsit, reported to the board on what was happening at Big Horn,

Tongue River High School Principal Colby Lynch gave a report from Tongue River as Caleb Kilbride was absent from the meeting.

In other business, Emerson Scott was appointed to the Whitney Benefits board from Ranchester. He will fill the place of Sam Scott, who is retiring. He joins Roy Garber as the other SCSD#1 representative to the board.

The next meeting will be Dec. 19, 6 p.m., with a work session on Dec. 5 at 5:30 p.m. both will be in Ranchester at the Central Office.
