Ron RichterIn October of 2020, the Sheridan City Council approved two policies for the application process for the General Purpose Excise Tax. Under policy adopted in 2020, the Council considers the contracts with the applicants at the second council meeting in January. City Attorney Brendon Kerns said that Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger recently requested the timeline for the application process be changed so new council members would have time to review the applications prior to voting on funding for the applicants.
The City Council recently approved a resolution updating the policy to where the GPET contracts are considered at the Council’s second business meeting in March.
