Clearmont Streets Filled with Ghosts and Ghouls

On Halloween, the Clear Creek Recreation District in Clearmont again hosted, Trunk or Treat, which was originally started to give a dedicated space for trick or treating, instead of going from house to house. Amy Rowe of the recreation district said she had had good feedback from last year’s trunk or treat. Participants usually decorate their car trunks and pass out candy from their vehicle.

The Clearmont Library, Clear Creek Stop, the Town Hall and The Clearmont Historical Center, all took part in Treat Street. Steve Switzer, Clear Creek Stop, said they had quite a few kids come by for treats.

Trinity Lewis and her youngsters, Timmy, Kolby and Clara Lewis, were dressed as clowns for the evening, and the youngsters were a little unsure of Darth Vadar aka Ira Roadifer, at the Historical Center who was manning “Spivey’s” booth.

Michael Myers from the movie, “Halloween” even paid a Halloween visit to the Mark Neill residence.

According to Amy Rowe, Clear Creek Rec District Administrative Assistant, the Jack-0-Lantern carving contest drew six entries, and there were some cars for the trunk or treat. Rowe said this about the contest and the trunk or treat this year.

There were two winners in the carving contest, Ella Stoll with the carving of a cat and Tate Bassett with the green-eyed monster deer pumpkin.

Although the evening was chilly, there were many ghosts and ghouls about.
