Pat BlairNow here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on March 4, 1920.
Mrs. Estelle Clancy, superintendent of the state hospital in Sheridan, was absolved from blame in removing Mrs. Bertha Nelson from the hospital when she contracted influenza shortly after giving birth. Mrs. Clancy’s action was ruled to have been in compliance with an order from the state board of charities and reform.
Sheridan’s city council has adopted an ordinance prohibiting the playing of gambling games within the corporate limits of the city.
Byron Johnson has gone to his homestead near Passaic to get ready for spring work. He spent the winter with his mother, Mrs. Eureka Johnson, who is principal of the school at Clearmont.
