Ron RichterU.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources (ENR), delivered opening remarks at a recent full committee hearing to examine President Joe Biden’s budget request for the U.S. Department of Energy for Fiscal Year 2024. Senator Barrasso said it has been two years since Joe Biden took office and the hearing provided a good opportunity to assess the results of his energy policies.
Barrasso, while addressing U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm during the hearing, said that if the country continues to follow President Biden’s agenda, Americans will become even more dependent on China and Russia, as these countries control the complete supplies, in so many ways, of the minerals used in the renewable and battery technologies that the president favors.

Except there is lower un-employment, the world is safer because the president is not cozying up to dictators, our alliances with our allies have been repaired, we are no longer at war in Afghanistan, the stock market is strong, the Covid Pandemic has been declared over, an infrastructure bill was actually passed, student debt relief was passed, marriage was protected for minority groups, oh and the Biden administration has approved more drilling permits for oil and gas wells on private land in 2 years then Trump did..But other than that I do miss the rage tweets.

How do you figure? Under Trump we were on the road to energy independence. The current traitor-in-chief is depleting our reserves!! Don’t for a minute think our adversaries aren’t paying attention!

Well, Senator, you had a unique chance to do something about this climate alarmist junk “science” (which is the root cause of the problems you’re now referencing) when you were Chairman of ENR. You were advised to host a conference on the entire climate deal where real scientists (you know, with PhDs in relevant scientific disciplines such as Physics and Thermodynamics) could actually debate this stuff. But, sadly, you were too busy “climbing the ladder” of the GOP in the Senate to do something meaningful about it. And now you harmlessly squawk about it. As one member of the anti-Hiter German resistance in the 1930s put it, “If you board the wrong train, it’s no use to run along the corridor in the wrong direction.” The time for action has passed and you completely abrogated your opportunity to do something meaningful about it. And we all get to pay the price for your inaction.
