It’s been more than one month since the Sheridan Memorial Hospital opened its new downtown Sheridan Primary Care Clinic and hospital officials are moving things around in the main building on 5th Street.

Most of the family member physicians were moved from the outpatient center to downtown, and in their place, is the Big Horn Surgical Clinic.

Patients can have blood draws at either location, depending on where their physician is located.

In place of the clinic, the hospital will add an addiction medical clinic in October.

Hospital President Mike McCafferty says all of the moving and reshuffling, also means more physicians can be brought on board.

“We’re going to be adding through this process probably 5 to 6 more physicians that will be providing service. So that gives us the ability to expand in that way, in terms of number of medical staff and it also gives us the ability to expand our footprint within the community.”

As for the parking situation at the downtown clinic, McCafferty says there hasn’t been much of an issue, because there’s a 30-space parking lot across Gould Street.
