Candidates for elected positions in Cheyenne, and in Sheridan County that will eventually go to the capital city, had their chance to address the public to promote their respective campaigns.

On Tuesday (June 28th) the Sheridan County Chamber Of Commerce Government Affairs Committee hosted the 2nd part of its candidate forum ahead of the upcoming August primary.

Some, but not all of the Candidates for Wyoming Governor, Wyoming Secretary of State, Wyoming State Treasurer, Wyoming State Superintendent of Public Instruction, as well State Senate and State House Districts within Sheridan County attended, and each had time to answer various questions about topics such as economic diversity, firearm restrictions, property taxes, inflation, and funding subsidies for air travel to Sheridan.

Anna Bailey is the Committee Chairperson and was the moderator of the event.

She says soon everything will be in the hands of the voters, and many hope the voting process goes smoothly.

Anna Bailey

“A couple of candidates expressed maybe worry in the election of our voting system and they also talked about ways to ensure the integrity as we move forward and we need to trust it, we need to do what we can do to keep it valid and legitimate. It’s your voice in what goes on and so when things don’t go your way, you have nobody to blame but yourself if you didn’t show up and make your own voice heard.”

Absentee voting begins this coming Friday, July 1st.

The state election primary will take place on Tuesday, August 16th.

what?…”a couple of candidates expressed “maybe” worry in our voting system”…? “and “they”…lol..talked about ways to ensure the integrity as we move forward we need to trust it”…lol…oh yeah you mean like donald j trump proclaims?…the person that started all this sick rhetoric that was struck down time and time again by the supreme court?…Wyoming’s voting system is rock solid and can be trusted and saying otherwise is an insult to those hard working honest employees who are in charge of the election processes…creating doubt and uncertainty will get you nowhere

…all you people who bought into (and are still buying into) the “big lie” were just “pawns”….millions of dollars were donated to the trump organization for “his legal defense fund” that were supposed to be spent on legal fees…then for example a million dollars from those legal defense funds were diverted to the mark meadows foundation and who knows where else?…the “big lie” is/was just a ploy to get “big money” donations… and thousands of people who donated to trumps fake cause “got took” because trump and company knew the truth all along…that he really did lose the 2020 electione…trump only still maintains the election was “stolen” because he is/has been trying to save face among his donators/followers…
