The original High Tech Business Park in north Sheridan is close to running out of available space.

What started as a 38½ acre park in 2010, is down to about 4½ acres today.

Robert Briggs who is the SEEDA (Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority) Administrator explains what property still remains.

“We have 1 lot that’s optioned by Weatherby, which is immediately adjacent to their facility, and then there is 1 a little under 4 and ½ acres spot that’s left. We’ve listed it on Wyoming sites, the Wyoming Business Council site, but we haven’t been heavily marketing it locally.”

This past April the Wyoming State Loan And Investment Board awarded SEEDA a $20,000 grant to look for design consultants to help with either expanding the current business park or help figure out where the next phase of the business park will be.

Members of SEEDA said they hope to have the Phase 2 feasibility study completed by this coming August.
