Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

SHS HOOPS – The Sheridan high school basketball teams had a rough weekend on the road at Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East dropping all four games.

Lady Broncs Head coach Ryan Sullivan says it was a tough weekend but they have two more to play this week so they’re moving on.

Broncs Head coach Jeff Martini says the Broncs suffered from poor shooting and they will be different this week.

They host Cheyenne South and Laramie Friday and Saturday.

RAMS HOOPS – The big horn basketball teams had four games to play in five days last week the Rams went 2-2 the Lady Rams were 1-3.

TR HOOPS – The Tongue River basketball teams had three games to play the Eagles went 2-1 the girls were 1-2.

AC HOOPS – The Arvada / Clearmont Lady Panthers went 2-1 on the weekend while the Panthers are still in search of their first win of the season.

COWBOY BASKETBALL – The Wyoming Cowboys are 19-3 overall after a 61-59 road win at Fresno state Sunday evening Head coach Jeff Linder says the victory came down to toughness.

The Pokes rest for a day and host Utah state tomorrow night Cowboy pregame at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00 on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

COWGIRLS BASKETBALL – The Cowgirls won at New Mexico 60-59 Saturday they host San Jose state Wednesday night.

WRESTLING – The Bronc wrestlers hosted dual matches with Cheyenne East, South and Central and the Broncs made a clean sweep of all three. The Broncs host Campbell county Thursday night.

SWIMMING / DIVING – The Bronc swimmers and divers had a great conference meet in Cheyenne finishing in 2nd place.

JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks played in Butte, Montana they dropped both games and play on the road again this weekend in Bozeman, Montana.
