Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

SWIMMING / DIVING – The Bronc swimmers and divers finished 3rd at the 4A state swimming and diving championships in Gillette complete results can be seen on line today on the sports page at sheridanmedia.com, we will hear from Broncs Head coach Brent Moore tomorrow.

WRESTLING – The Bronc wrestlers came out as the winning team at their regional tournament, now it’s onto the state championships they open Friday in Casper.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL – The Sheridan high school basketball split with the Gillette teams as they both won at Campbell county Friday and dropped home games with Thunder Basin Saturday, they close out the regular season Friday with road games at Natrona county.

1A / 2A REGIONAL BASKETBALL – The Tongue River and Big Horn basketball teams open regional tournament play Thursday at Sundance high school

In the girls bracket Big Horn opens with Lingle-Fort Laramie and the Tongue River Lady Eagles take on Burns, in the boys bracket the Rams play Niobrara county and the Eagles face Burns.

The Arvada / Clearmont Lady Panthers open their regional tournament Thursday against Rock River, the A/C boys did not qualify for the regional tournament.

TRACK AND FIELD – The Sheridan indoor track teams competed at the Simplot games in Pocatello, Idaho full results are posted on the sports page at sheridanmediacom.

JUNIOR HAWKS – The Sheridan Junior Hawks split their games at the Butte, Montana Cobras, this week the Hawks host two with the Yellowstone Quake.
