Cheney Calls On U.S. to Stop Russian Oil Imports

Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) recently joined “The Guy Benson Show” on Fox News Radio to discuss America’s response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the Biden Administration’s dangerous negotiations with Iran. Cheney, when referring to Russian oil imports, said it’s absolutely clear that we need to stop all imports of Russian oil and unleash and we ought to release our own domestic production here.
Cheney said that she’s not satisfied with the level of support the U.S. is providing to Ukraine right now.
Cheney said the U.S. has done an unprecedented amount, but it is not enough given the brutality that Putin has decided to unleash on Ukraine.

I’d like to know what Cheney specifically thinks we should be doing for or giving to the Ukrainians that we aren’t? As far as not importing Russian oil I agree with her, just understand that even though we don’t import a lot from them stopping imports will still cause a lot of pain for many Americans.

So, let’s see now, Liz. The guy you hate is the one who opened up all OUR energy resources and provided America and the world with affordable energy. And the guy you hate is the one who prevented the Russians from using the Nord Stream II pipeline and thus providing oil and natural gas to Europe. And the guy you hate is the one who begged the Germans not to buy Russian oil and natural gas and instead buy it from us. And the guy you must have favored to be the U.S. president is the one who has virtually closed down our energy producing sector and is buying imported Russian oil. Oh, I see, NOW you want all this to change. Sorry, Liz. You made your bed. Lie in it.

…to send a worldwide and united message to Russia an international movement needs to be initiated to conserve fuel at every opportunity…during the pandemic fuel prices dropped dramatically due to reduced usage of gasoline…collectively with a world wide reduced usage movement everyone could show support for the Ukrainians in their own way and at the same time help control their own prices locally at the pump…

It seems a little unsightly to me that the folks who are flying first class are demanding people flying coach tighten their belts a bit. Let the political class tighten their belts for once, they got us in to the war so let them clean up their own mess. I sure didn’t see any of these clowns making a bee line for the recruiters office to take part in the last half dozen wars they started the past fifty years yet they think we little people should tighten our belts for the newest glorious cause. Just the other day my half of the country were a “basket of deplorable” now you want to cry for unity? I wish the Ukrainians the best of luck in their fight against the Russian invaders but I fail to see where any democrat in this country has any right to call for unity and sacrifice after the way they’ve behaved the past several years.

…well clark the ukrainians desire for independence is no different than our own american patriots who wanted independence back in 1775 in lexington and also concord…NATO is united…NATO members like poland are already sacrificing…people “flying first class”…?…demanding?…lol…no worries…many people will be walking, biking, and parking vehicles before long out of necessity because many families will be stretched financially into the position of making choices between fuel or food for their kids…wide spread personal conservation methods are a better choice and collectively would send a unified message to Russia…same as it sent a message years ago…solidarenosc…which led to the peaceful downfall of communism in poland back in the 1980’s

I doubt most Americans can find Ukraine on a map and I suspect by fall the only unified message they’ll be interested in sending will be the one they send from the voting booth. If folks wouldn’t wear a cloth mask for the common good I think it’s a safe bet they aren’t going to be real happy about paying $5 (minimum) for a gallon of gas to support another war no one even bothered to ask their opinion on. Especially one led by an administration who has in a lot of opinions been pretty unfriendly towards producing our own energy. I expect by fall the president will be quite envious of Jimmy Carter’s approval ratings.

Maybe you should be calling for Biden’s impeachment, but you wouldnt do that to your friend and it might upset Pelosi. Please resign, you’re an embarrassment to Wyoming.

The Irish, who had leased passenger and freight aircraft to Russian are letting the leases run out. Likewise other countries who had lease deals are pulling out. This means maint. crews and replacement parts for remaining planes will be in short supply. US war planners are already quietly putting in place ways to neutralize Russian ability to to strike back should Biden, et al ever grow a pair to put this jerk, Putin in his place.

I was reading an article today that talked about how we don’t even have enough spare functional F16s to replace the MIG29s Poland is giving Ukraine so I wouldn’t put too much faith in our professional war planners. I don’t think they’re a particularly effective group of people. We should all thank our lucky stars the Russian army is proving itself to be as ineffective as they are.

Give them a little time they’ll get in on it, after all where there’s a war there’s a way.
