JCSD1 Board Amends 2022 Budget

Johnson County’s school board discussed proposed amendments to the Fiscal Year 2022 adopted budget during their recent meeting.

The amendments adopted new spending within the Special Revenue Fund of roughly $250,000 for instruction; about $145,000 for instructional support; and just over $43,000 in general support; for a total amendment of about $438,500.

These funds consist of various grants, supplemental grants, ESSER Funding, GEER Funding, and CARES Act Funding.

Other amendments were also necessary to transfer funds to cover unforeseen costs that exceeded budgeted amounts.

The board approved the budget amendment during their consent agenda at the meeting.
