The Winners of the draw getting ready to ‘dive into’ the Geode Cake

2022 Sheridan Media Bridal Prevue, supported in part by Once Upon A Story and Legacy Diamonds & Gems, was held on Saturday, Jan. 15 at the Ramada, formerly the Holiday Inn. There were prize drawings, a girl’s dress show, a mothers and bridesmaids dress show, two wedding dress shows and the always popular Legacy Diamond & Gems Cake Dive.

This is the third year for the cake drive, and Tom Kraft owner of Legacy Diamond & Gems tells how it came about:

The Geode Cake

The names of five brides-to-be were drawn and the could ‘dive’ into the Geode Cake and find the five rings. Those drawn were: Stacy Packard, Kaycee Dube, Taylor Lafond, Breanna Powell., and Crystal Rose. Of the five rings, one was a winner. The participants were allowed to keep the other rings. There was much laughter and mushing through the cake to find the winning ring, determined by Kraft using his loupe. The winner was awarded a $1000 gift certificate to be used towards a ring or a wedding set at Legacy Diamonds and Gems.

The winner was Taylor LeFond, and she had this to say about diving for the diamond.
