Historical Society to Give Program on Auschwitz

On the 75th Anniversary of the liberation of the extermination camp at Auschwitz the Johnson County Historical Society will present a program of historical significance and remembrance.
According to a release from the historical society, the program will examine the camp through rare photographs, and a discussion will focus on Auschwitz and how it fit within the larger holocaust and study what led up to it.
Presenter John Egan is a semi-retired historian who has taught Holocaust history and the history of 20th century genocides at Sheridan College and the University of Kansas.
The program will be given Monday, January 27th at 6:30pm at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center in Buffalo.
It is free to attend, but materials presented in the program are not suitable for young children.
