Police Chief On Tik Tok Threat, Blue Santa

Acting Buffalo Police Chief Captain Garth Nicholas, in his report to the city council this week, touched on the recent Tik Tok Challenge Threat and the department’s annual Blue Santa program.

Nicholas said there were no incidents locally with the school threat.

Nicholas said the department’s annual Blue Santa program is well underway, and they have been busy wrapping gifts and preparing to distribute them.

Operation Blue Santa is a program developed and administered by the Buffalo Police Department that helps local families that are struggling during the holidays to have a little brighter season.

The department is given names of families that could use some extra help and work with them to provide where they can.

The program also provides gifts for children, groceries, gift cards, paying school lunch debts, helping with transportation for seniors through the BATS bus, and providing meal vouchers for them at the senior center.
