The Buffalo Police Department had a fairly routine month of December, but there were a high number of some incidents that were reported.

Police Chief Jason Carder, in his monthly report to the city council, said of the nearly 1,200 incidents in the city, there were 149 security checks along with 102 business checks during the month, as well as 108 follow-ups.

Officers also conducted 126 traffic stops and there were 15 accidents responded to in the city.

Dispatch handled just over 3,300 phone calls in December, and there were no calls for the city’s Animal Control Officer in the county, so the county was charged nothing during the month.
