WYO Winter Rodeo

Skijoring was not a term commonly associated with Sheridan County before February of 2019. But after breaking the record for number of teams participating in a Skijoring America event in the 1st ever WYO Winter Rodeo, it was a no brainer that the happening would become a tradition according to Sheridan Travel and Tourism’s Executive Director Shawn Parker.

Sheridan will host the 2nd Annual WYO Winter Rodeo on February 22 and 23 with an extra day of skijoring on Broadway Street. Parker shared that Sheridan’s City Engineer Hans Mercer will again be the architect of the course in the second year.

Parker said that course will be very similar to last year, although there will be less snowpack and it will be extended to allow for more time to slow down at the end.
