Sheridan County has 93 new cases of COVID-19 in last 24 hours. Currently there are 247 active cases of COVID-19 in the Sheridan County community.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Sheridan County has had 3,189 lab confirmed cases and 893 probable cases.
Fourteen patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours.
Sheridan County has experienced 35 deaths resulting from the virus.
According to Sheridan Memorial Hospital, Sheridan County has 15 patients currently hospitalized suffering from the virus with three of those in the Intensive Care Unit.
Should patients in SMH require transfer to another hospital for any variety of reasons, Salt Lake City has the only hospital in the region with any room. Other hospitals are too full of COVID-19 patients to receive any kind of transfer.
According to SMH Chief Executive Officer Mike McCafferty, Sheridan Memorial has been unable to fulfill transfer requests due to the amount of COVID-19 patients requiring hospitalization.
Last week, McCafferty shared concerns that the ages of the patients recently requiring hospitalization (mostly from the delta variant) vary greatly when compared to the average age of the patients requiring hospitalization during the surge in numbers from the alpha variant.
During the initial stages and case number surges of the alpha variant, most patients requiring hospitalization were in the +65 years of age bracket and or suffering from underlying or preexisting health conditions.
That trend is being seen all over the nation as younger people are requiring hospitalization and in too many cases, dying from the virus.
According to the Associated Press, data on the age and demographics of victims during the delta surge is still limited, but hospitals in virus hotspots say they are clearly seeing more admissions and deaths among people under the age of 65.

I’m tired of pretending that I have to respect the rights of people who claim that people have the right to make decisions that threaten my health. Freedumb without responsibility is anarchy. You can’t run red lights, fire guns into crowds or drive 95 in a school zone. What makes you think you can make decisions that put at risk people in danger? Shut up, get vaxed, wear a mask and rejoin the polity.

You just made Mr. Olson’s case. You’re not a responsible member of this community, you’re a threat. When you graduate high school, or when a family member dies from Covid, you might grow up, and understand.

Sorry it took me so long to get back in. Maybe I was intimidated by the all caps, or maybe it’ just that I have a life. I would suggest that you remember to pick up your Darwin Award on your way off the planet- but that would be a disservice to any innocent victims you might drag down with you.

Ray Olson couldn’t have said it better..!!!!💯💯
I just haven’t because you know the upper it will cause when you tell people the truth.. lol
will go right back into what you said “you’re not going to take my right away making me wear a mask”
yes it’s your right not wear a mask and then make everybody sick around you because COVID is FAKE..!!
some of those non-mask squares will be the first one when they get it or a family member gets it and passes away to yell why didn’t you wear a mask why didn’t you wear a mask around me..!!
just like they did not want their kids to wear a mask in school.. well I know from experience some parents use school as a babysitter and send them to school even when they’re sick and they did way before COVID..
I honestly don’t think the kids would make such a big deal about it it’s the parents weren’t in such an uproar about it..

AMEN..!!! couldn’t have said it better..!!!
the people who don’t want to wear a mask are going to be the first people to freak out when they get sick or a family member gets sick they’re going to say why didn’t you wear a mask around me..
I honestly don’t think the kids would be in such an uproar about them wearing them in school if it wasn’t for the parents..
I know from experience a lot of parents use school as a babysitter and even if their kids sick they send them to school anyways..
after all the deaths between adults and children you would finally think that people would get a grasp that it’s not fake that it is REAL..!!!
the head of the United States pediatric association announced that between August 26th and September 2nd there were 251,781 cases of covid in children and of those 854 of them died and that was just in 24 States… but COVID fake

I completely agree! Your rights end where harm is done to another. I get so confused when folks that identify as Christians cry about their rights, but forget a huge thing they are supposed to put above those rights… love thy neighbor. Refusing to help keep others safe by just putting a mask on, and refusing to get a shot that has now been proven safe and effective is called selfishness. Selfishness is not a Christian virtue.

yeah–this might be a good time to get vaxxed. I dont like Biden’s heavy handed mandates–I would hope most people see that vaccines help. This administration has destroyed everything it had touched (energy independence, Afghanistan) and i have no doubt this covid mandate will be no different

If the masks worked you wouldn’t need a vaccine.
If the vaccines worked you wouldn’t need masks.

Please don’t call yourself a Christian, or show up at SMH if you get covid. You are a burden on our community.

Caring for my neighbor is absolutely different from fearing for myself. I care about my community, our children and our elderly. I am not fearful of dying from COVID. Fear is rooted in not fully trusting God for one’s own safety, needs…etc. . I trust, and am not afraid. My motivation for masking up and getting a vaccine is my care for others. Fear can be a selfish emotion. Motivation to care for others isn’t fear, it’s love. As Christians, we are called to love above ALL else.

“The unvaxxed, need to get vaxxed, to protected the vaxxed, from the unvaxxed. Because vaccines works. We need to protect the vaxxed, from the unvaxxed. So unvaxxed, get the vaxx…..”. Think How convoluted this is getting.
