Council Approves TJS2 Minor Subdivision and Rezone of Property on Coffeen Avenue
The Sheridan City Council met for their first regularly scheduled business meeting of September Tuesday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The Sheridan City Council approved third and final reading of an ordinance to rezone 1.7 acres of property located at 2533 Coffeen Avenue, from R-3 Residential to B-1 Business. A resolution was approved for the TJS2 Minor Subdivision. City Community Development Director Wade Sanner says the property is zoned R-3 and that surrounding properties are single-family homes zoned R-3 as well.
The Council also approved the formation of the liquor license process review committee that consists of Councilors Shawn Day, Steven Brantz and Jacob Martin. The committee is tasked with creating a resolution that will outline the criteria and other requirements for those that apply for the additional retail liquor license that was allotted to the City as a result of the latest Census.
