The Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office is reminding motorists it is state statute to slow down and safely move over when coming upon or being overtaken by service and emergency vehicles.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, SCSO Sergeant Devereaux Johnson, elaborated on Wyoming State Statute 31-5-224, Operation of vehicles upon approach of authorized emergency vehicles.
Johnson reminded motorists the statue does include service vehicles performing maintenance on the roadways.
