The new Buffalo Resident Engineer for the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) was introduced to the Johnson County Commission during their Monday meeting.

Jake Whisonant was introduced by County Road & Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer, who then discussed the 2024 Buffalo Main Street reconstruction project, and the proposed agreement to “piggyback” a local Johnson County road project onto the WYDOT project.

The cost of the county project is estimated at $1.2 million with funding expected to come from the county’s road fund.

The agreement was approved, pending review by the county attorney.
