Buffalo Council OKs MOU for Tie Hack Water for Fires
During their recent meeting, the Buffalo City Council discussed a Memorandum of Understanding, or MOU, between the city and Johnson County Fire District concerning the use of water from the city-owned Tie Hack Reservoir in fighting wildfires.
City Attorney Ben Kirven discussed the matter with the council, explaining the MOU was prompted by the need for water to fight the Robinson Fire south of Buffalo.
The MOU, which was approved by the council, is for a set three years according to discussions at the meeting.
