Sheridan Commission OKs Setback Variance
The Sheridan County Commission has approved the Oxbow Setback Variance as recommended by the Planning & Zoning Commission.
According to the staff report from the Public Works Department, the applicants Randal and Stacie Huckeba, applied for a front setback variance to permit an
existing barn to be located approximately 11.5 feet from a proposed right-of-way and an existing house to be located roughly 16 feet from the same right-of-way, as opposed to the standard 25 feet in that zoning district.
County Planner Mark Reid explained the application further.
Moving the access road to another portion of the property was looked into, but it was ultimately decided it was more beneficial to keep the road where it is and apply for the setback variance.
The commission voted to approved the variance.
