JCSD1 Reviewing Mask Mandate Exemption
The Johnson County School Board, at a special meeting Wednesday night, voted to accept an exception to the mask mandate signed by State Health Officer Dr. Alicia Harrist, but the district still has some work to do before any changes are made in the district’s schools.
Superintendent Jim Wagner discussed the issue with the board during the meeting Wednesday night.
After the meeting, Wagner explained that the board approved the exemption for administrators to look at how it may change their Smart Start Plan, then make recommendations to the board on how to implement changes within the plan.
The Johnson County School Board has announced it will further discuss the Smart Start adjustment at the scheduled special meeting Thursday, April 1st at 5pm in the administration building.
