Death under investigation

Sheridan police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in the 50 block of West Works Street Sunday morning.

Police Lt. Tom Ringley said police received a call at just before 10:15 a.m. Sunday that a man was seen laying in the area unresponsive. When police arrived on the scene, they determined the man was dead.

Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death, and no other information is being released at this time. Lt. Ringley said an investigation is still active.
