Pat BlairSheridan County School District 1’s contract with Superintendent Pete Kilbride has been extended through June 30, 2023.
Action came during a recent meeting of the board of trustees. Kilbride said the superintendent’s contract in School District 1 is a two-year contract.
Kilbride said rather than voting on his contract every two years, the trustees vote each year to either extend the contract for a year or choose to take no action.
His current contract would have ended on June 30, 2022. Next year, trustees are expected to vote on whether to extend Kilbride’s contract another year, to the end of June, 2024.
Sheridan County School District 1 operates the schools in Big Horn, Ranchester and Dayton and the Slack School.
