Buffalo Council Addresses ADA Complaints

Published

on

A Buffalo resident approached the Buffalo City Council to discuss problems in the city with ADA, or Americans With Disabilities Act-compliant structures.

Sara Sexton sent a letter to the city explaining that she is concerned with intersections on West Fetterman that do not have ramps and therefore are not ADA-compliant.

She also said a beacon at the crosswalk at the intersection of Angus and South Burritt does not work, along with other concerns that pertain to equipment owned by WYDOT.

City Works Director Les Hook addressed the concerns.

Hook said he would deliver a copy of Sexton’s letter with her concerns with WYDOT-owned equipment for them to address.
