Mayor M. B. Camplin has announced a decision to eliminate from the city administration the offices of city attorney, city engineer, city health officer and city police matron. The change would save $2,870 a year for the city.
A group of farmers and business men of Dayton appeared before county commissioners this morning to protest the condition of the bridge across Tongue River in Dayton. The bridge is considered a menace to public safety. Commissioners promised to determine some remedy.
A man arrested several weeks ago for theft of some heavy bridge planks belonging to Sheridan County pleaded guilty in district court and was fined $100 and costs.
