During the public comment portion of Monday night’s Sheridan City Council meeting, Sheridan resident Paul DelRossi addressed an email that was sent by Mayor Roger Miller to the Sheridan Press on October 29, that accused him of unethical behavior and cronyism.

DelRossi said he needed to address the “libelous statements” that Mayor Miller made about him and other prominent local residents in the email. DelRossi read from a letter that he said was hand delivered to the Mayor on November 19. The following is a brief excerpt from the letter that DelRossi read regarding the allegations that were made against him in Miller’s email.

DelRossi expressed his disdain for what Miller said in the email about the late Tom Kinnison.

In DelRossi’s letter to the mayor that was delivered in November, he asked Miller to sign it as an official retraction of the statements and allegations that were made in his email. DelRossi said the mayor had not yet signed the letter, and asked Miller to do so at the Council meeting. Mayor Miller offered an apology, but declined to sign the letter Monday night.

DelRossi finished by saying that he came to Sheridan in 1972, and since that time, nine mayors have served the community, including Mayor Miller, and a 10th, Mayor Elect Rich Bridger will be inaugurated in a few weeks. DelRossi said all of them exemplify two qualities that are deficient in Mayor Miller, honesty and integrity, and the community of Sheridan deserves better.

If you are the director of a “benefit,” and use that knowledge to personally purchase property with the intent of selling it to the “benefit” for a much higher price, is that unethical? Asking for a dead friend.

Pretty sure you are referring to the late Tom Kinnison?

Careful, if Paul DelRossi finds out you are suggesting Tom Kinnison unethically used his position to enrich himself at the expense of the community he will give you an earfull!
