City Accepting Applications for Funding Requests from Non-Profit and Governmental Agencies

The City of Sheridan is accepting funding request applications from interested governmental and nonprofit agencies within the City. The funding requests are for the 2020-2021 municipal budget and fiscal year. Applications and required attachments must be submitted no later than 5:00 pm on November 20th.  Applications received after the 20th will not be considered.

Application forms are available at the City’s website, https://www.sheridanwy.gov/. Electronic copies can be submitted to cgood@sheridanwy.net. All of the information required on the application must be provided or the request will be denied.   1. One would hope that the City Council would learn to say no to some of these requests, especially during a time of such uncertainty in state funding. While it’s always been nice to fund every organization that appears with it’s hand out, the City needs to concentrate on essential services, ie: emergency sevices, sanitation, street maintenance and other utilities, including compensation for wage-based employees. We need to differentiate between “nice to have” and necessary.
