An individual at Meadowlark Elementary School in Buffalo has been diagnosed with COVID-19, according to a posting on the Johnson County School District’s website Wednesday.

In the announcement, the district said they would be working with public health officials to identify students and staff who have had close contact with the individual diagnosed with COVID-19.

It further said there appeared to be a low risk to students and staff because the person last attended school on Thursday, October 8th.

The announcement also said public health officials would notify staff and the parents of students identified as close contacts directly, to provide further instructions.

In a follow-up announcement posted to their website later that day, the district said that public health had completed the contact tracing for the COVID case at Meadowlark Elementary and has found no school contacts to be identified.
