UW Wyoming Blockchain Stampede Opens with Gov. Mark Gordon Sept. 23

The Wyoming Blockchain Stampede opening ceremonies will begin Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 8 a.m. for people to experience the event’s free virtual environment.

The virtual event, hosted by the University of Wyoming, provides an opportunity to become acquainted with the many programs being offered by the Wyoming Blockchain Stampede.

According to a UW press release, participants will hear Gov. Mark Gordon kick off the Wyoming Blockchain Stampede from 8-8:30 a.m., virtually tour the expo floor and watch as startups pitch new ideas and legislators make new laws driving economic diversity.

Those interested in participating can do so by registering for free at www.wyohackathon.io.

“We are extremely excited to come together this year at the 2020 Wyoming Blockchain Stampede, and see old friends and meet new ones from around the globe as we converge with everyone in our virtual reality environment,” Larry Beck, LODE director of technology said.

The Wyoming Blockchain Stampede, composed of several events from Sept. 23-Oct. 24, will be livestreamed within the free virtual environment, uniting worldwide participants with thought leaders, legislators and change makers at the forefront of major impacts to the world’s future in blockchain technology, according to event organizers.
