Remodel Coming for Buffalo Children’s Center

A remodel project will be happening at the Buffalo Children’s Center, as requested by Director Cheyann Pehringer.
Pehringer came before the city council this week to seek permission to re-allocate severance tax funds for the project.
Pehringer said the estimated cost of the project is under $1,000.
According to discussions, the severance tax funds were originally earmarked to be used for repairs, maintenance and utility bills, which this project falls under that category.
Grant funds awarded to the children’s center from the Wyoming Community Foundation earlier this year for utility bills have given them more leeway to use the severance tax funds for maintenance and repairs, according to Pehringer.
The council had no issue with using the funds for the project.
