City of Buffalo to Apply for COVID Costs
Buffalo’s City Council has voted to apply for funding to reimburse some costs associated with the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The pass-through funds, from the federal CARES Act, are being distributed through the State Loan and Investments Board (SLIB).
The city will be applying for reimbursement of payroll and benefit costs for law enforcement officers and 20% of the payroll and benefit costs for dispatch personnel incurred from April 1st through December 31st of this year.
Although no specific amount was earmarked for the application, Buffalo Mayor Shane Schrader said the city will make that decision at a later date.
