County Sets Mill Levies With Budget
Johnson County’s Commissioners passed their $44.1 million fiscal year 2020-21 budget at a recent meeting, and also set the mill levies for the various districts in the process.
The commissioners said they were pleased with the special districts budget requests this year.
The Cemetery District was approved for a .747 mill and a budget amount of $235,100.
Clear Creek Conservation District was set at .84 mill for $162,017.
Johnson County Hospital District was set at 3 mills for $944,198.
Johnson County Fire District #1 was set at 1.7 mills for $245,302.
Solid Waste will receive $314,733 from 1 mill.
Powder River Conservation, at 1 mill, will receive $121,856.
Powder River Fire will get $194,312 from 1.62 mill.
Rural Health Care, at 2 mills, will receive $629,465.
Weed & Pest and Weed & Pest Leafy Splurge will each get $314,733 at 1 mill each.
