After postponement for over two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Wyoming Cattle Industry Convention and Trade show has been scheduled for next month in Rock Springs.

Hosted by the Wyoming Stock Growers Association, the event will be Aug. 24-26 in the Exhibit Hall at the Sweetwater County Events Complex.

Jim Magagna, who’s executive vice president of the association, said the convention theme is “Providing Stability in a Time of Crisis,” and the event will focus on a variety of topics affecting the cattle industry this year and how the stock growers association is working through these uncertain times.

On Aug. 24, a highlight of the convention will be guidance on participation in the array of state and federal financial assistance programs. That will be open to the public.

On Aug. 25, attendees can hear from agriculture industry leaders on several current topics, and Governor Mark Gordon and First Lady Jennie Gordon will attend that night.

Aug. 26 will feature the annual awards luncheon.

The full preliminary agenda can be found on the Wyoming Stock Growers Association website at www.wysga.org. The website also includes registration information, tradeshow applications and sponsorship opportunities.
