Youth Riders commemorate Fetterman Battle
Young Native American riders rode 18 miles from Sheridan to the Fetterman Battlefield in commemoration of the battle’s anniversary for the first time Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025. The riders left the Sheridan County fairgrounds at approximately 8:30 a.m. and arrived at the battlefield site in a little more than six hours.
