Pat BlairTwo requests from Weatherby, for modifications to the company’s building in Sheridan’s High-Tech Park, received approval from the Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority Tuesday.
Robert Briggs, who’s administrator for the Authority, also known as SEEDA, elaborated.
He said the improvements to the manufacturing area will allow Weatherby to bring certain processes in-house, which equates to more local employment.
Briggs said all of the improvements are being paid for by Weatherby, with no funding from SEEDA involved.
In other action, the SEEDA joint powers board approved an end-of-year budgetary amendment transferring funds from one SEEDA account into another. That was preceded by a public hearing, but no comments by the public were made.
