JCHC Wednesday Meeting Offered via In-Person, Phone Options

The monthly meeting of the Johnson County Hospital Board will be Wednesday evening and will be offered for the public to attend in-person or by phone.
In a release issued late last week, healthcare center CEO Sean McCallister said, “Given the incremental lifting of state and county COVID-19 restrictions and the limited size of our Boards, Dr. Schueler and I feel it is an appropriate time to conduct in-person meetings once again.”
McCallister explained that the center’s Lake Angeline and Misty Moon conference rooms, where the monthly meetings are normally held, remain occupied by their Home Health & Hospice departments displaced by their COVID Evaluation Clinic.
The meeting will therefore convene in the JCHC dining room Wednesday evening at 6:30pm.
The release also said the dining room is currently set up to facilitate social distancing.
The south-facing door to the dining room will be open, so that those wishing to attend in-person can park on the south side of the building and access there.
The release also encouraged people to wear masks or other face coverings while in public areas.
They will conduct body temperature and COVID symptom screening at the door, and those experiencing any COVID symptoms are asked to stay home and join via phone.
Those uncomfortable meeting in person at this time due to health concerns, can contact Becky Rodriguez who will provide a telephone call-in option.
