According to Perry, National Main Street visited the City of Sheridan to see the community at work and met with three different focus groups to gather information on what they like and what can be improved downtown. Perry said the DSA will receive the final report later in the summer season.

Strategies that may be suggested can be consumer-based (family friendly, tourist, college students) or product-based (arts, entertainment, nightlife, manufacturing).

According to the initial numbers of the survey and focus groups  the busiest day of the week downtown in Sheridan is Friday, 321,000 people visited the downtown in July of last year, and 13,085 people visited the July 2024 3rd Thursday.

Perry said these new strategies will help DSA grow and implement new projects in their annual work plan.
