Sheridan Commission Approves Setback Variance

A variance to setback regulations was approved by the Sheridan County Commission at their Tuesday meeting, at the request of County Planner Mark Reid.
Reid explained that the owners of the property, located in Story, have requested the variance to build an attached garage to their current home on Cottonwood Lane.
Reid explained the request further.
Reid said there is an existing shed on the proposed site for the attached garage which will be moved to another location on the property, and the proposed garage would sit roughly six inches farther from the road than the shed currently does.
The Planning and Zoning Commission, earlier this month, voted 4-0 to recommend approval of the variance.
