Buffalo Council Tables Tech Park Change Order

The Buffalo City Council discussed and ultimately tabled a decision on a change order on the Buffalo Tech Park project.
Project Engineer Brent Bennett, with Nelson Engineering, brought the change order from Barnum Construction before the council, saying the cost of the change order would be an additional $115,000 for the changes on the project.
Mayor Shane Schrader explained the changes include adjustment of roads and power location as well as raising grade due to shallow groundwater conditions.
Questions concerning the total project costs and how the change order might affect that were discussed, as well as issues with power poles that were installed at the wrong elevation by Rocky Mountain Power.
The council, based on the problems that necessitated the change order, voted to table the decision until their next meeting.
