Sheridan Woman Arraigned in District Court on Multiple Felony Charges

A 37-year-old Sheridan woman was arraigned on multiple charges Tuesday in Fourth Judicial District Court. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
During the hearing, Treva Adams pleaded not guilty to the charges of felony endangering children for knowingly being in possession of methamphetamine with a child present; felony possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine; felony possession of a controlled substance – cocaine, and misdemeanor possession or use of a firearm for being in possession of a firearm with a previous non-violent felony conviction. All of the alleged crimes occurred at Adams’ residence in Sheridan County.
District Court Judge Darci Phillips scheduled a #4 stack three-day jury trial to begin on July 2. A pretrial conference will take place on June 10 at 10:30 am. According to court documents, Adams arrest was the result of a report that was called into the Sheridan Police Department about Adams being in possession of methamphetamine and a firearm. A search warrant executed by law enforcement at Adams’ residence yielded the drugs and the firearm. If convicted on all four counts, Adams faces up to 17 years in prison and fines of more than $25,000.

At an arraignment hearing Tuesday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan, 46-year-old David Lopez pleaded not guilty to two counts of delivery of a controlled substance – methamphetamine. Each count carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $25,000. The arrest was part of an investigation by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation where Lopez allegedly sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant on two separate occasions in December of 2024.
District Court Judge Darci Phillips scheduled a three-day #3 stack jury trial to begin on July 2nd. The #3 stack means that there are two other jury trials scheduled for the same date. There will be a pretrial conference in District Court on June 10 at 10 am. Lopez’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set in Circuit Court.
Also arraigned Tuesday in District Court was 50-year-old Vernon Woods, who pleaded not guilty to one count of delivery of a controlled substance – hydrocodone. Woods was arrested for the alleged crime on February 5, 2025. Judge Phillips scheduled a three-day #2 stack jury trial to begin on July 2nd. There will be a pretrial conference in District Court on June 10 at 9:30 am. If convicted, Woods faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
