Council to Consider Zoning Ordinance on First Reading

The Sheridan City Council will be considering first reading of an ordinance at their regular business meeting Monday night that would amend the current M1 zoning district to add heavy industrial uses to the list of uses requiring a Special Exemption by the Board of Adjustment, and add a new M2 district that would allow for light and heavy industrial uses with no special exemption required. There will be a public hearing prior to first reading of the ordinance. Two resolutions will be considered by the Council, one to authorize the City to co-sponsor a Wyoming Water Development Commission Level Two Study application, and the other to designate the dates for Trees for Tras, the Community Cleanup event, and the fall free landfill day. The City Council meeting is scheduled for Monday at 5:30 pm in Council Chambers on the third floor of Sheridan City Hall.
