Aaron PalmerThe Board of Trustees for the Johnson County School District, at their monthly meeting this week, voted to approve and accept the audit report for Fiscal Year 2024.
During discussion after the motion to accept, questions were asked of District Business Manager Connie Gay about the audit, including ESSER funding, an increase in tax collections, and the district’s depreciation list.
Gay answered the questions, and added that the audit was “a good one.”
In the audit report, compiled by Carver, Florek, and James, CPAs, they explained that they audited the financial statements of the governmental activities, the business-type activities, each major fund, and the aggregate remaining fund information of Johnson County School District #1, and their opinion is the financial statements present fairly, and are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
